A recent report sheds light on the problem of foreclosures in Mobile and statewide in Alabama. While not hit as hard as such states as Florida, California, and Michigan, Alabama and its metro areas have been no exception to these problems. Notes From the Conference: Alabama Coastal Economic Outlook
This conference, organized by the Center for Real Estate Studies at the University of South Alabama, brought some heavy duty speakers to Mobile including the Chairwoman of the FDIC. Also speaking was the Chief Economist for the Comptroller of the Currency in Washington, Dr. Nancy Wentzler, who had some interesting observations.
